Red Hood and the Outlaws were taken down by the heroes of Detective Comics. Believing that the Outlaws are safer in Belle Reve Penitentiary, Batwoman delivered them under the custody of Amanda Waller. The question is, what will Waller do to the Outlaws?

Its hard to critic a story when what’s being reviewed is only a chapter of the book. Scott Lobdell recently made the Outlaws narrative interesting by giving Bizarro an intellectual capacity greater than any DC character there is. However, as the monthly issues progress, it seems like the story is getting further and further from what made it interesting in the first place. From an internal conflict of preservation and acceptance, Bizarro and the Outlaws are now teaming up with the Suicide Squad on a mission to the Arctic.

The development of Bizarro’s character has opened a lot of windows for the creative team to advance. But with the many options presented before Lobdell, at least for this issue, he sort off lost track of what the real story is—or at least what I think, as a reader, is the real story in this arc which is the inner conflicts of Bizarro. But then again, like I said, its hard to pass judgment on the story with just one chapter. I may be wrong and Lobdell may have a bigger story to tell. But for this issue alone, it felt like it alienated from the story that made things interesting in the first place.

What I loved most about this book is Dexter Soy’s amazing artwork. It looks like his line art is getting better and better as the issue progress. There are a lot of eye-candy panels in this book and its probably because of how the colors complimented Dex’s line art.
