Nintendo’s surprise announcement of Pokémon GO! puts everyone a step closer in realizing their childhood dream of catching a Pokémon outside the monitors of a DS. The trailer itself is an explosion of mixed emotions we’ve felt after encountering a Ratata outside Palette or engaging Mewtwo after The Elite Four’s sound defeat. Town. Other than that, the game itself has aged fashionably, allowing younger generations to effortlessly insert themselves in the Gotta Catch ‘Em All hunting party.

More importantly, Nintendo has seen mobile as a platform to introduce new and exciting games to a large, always moving forward demographics. Pokémon GO! can be perceived as the lynchpin of Nintendo’s plan to revolutionize gaming concepts outside the DS – we have not taken mobile seriously and yet here we are, nervously excited about the possibilities of playing an augmented version of Pokémon on the streets, underwater, at the mouth of an active volcano, or anywhere our curious feet would take us.

Pokémon GO! has been scheduled for a 2016 release for both Android and iOS.

The Flame in the Flood - The Molasses Flood

Good choice for a companion.

The Flame in the Flood will be launched on September 24

The Flame in the Flood is about two survivors, one female scout and her reliable pooch, and their struggle to navigate a post-societal America deluged in deep waters. An ambitious IP, The Molasses Flood wishes to honor the survival genre by introducing players to a world where resources are running out and technology has been wiped out. Certainly, The Flame in the Flood is a harrowing vision that’s not far from coming true if our planet will continue to suffer from severe environmental imbalance.
