Ubisoft Hires New Chief Parkour Officer For ASSASSIN’S CREED!
Ubisoft has recently revealed that they have hired a Chief Parkour Officer to serve consultant work for all future entries of Assassin’s Creed, in an attempt to ground the franchise and provide actual physics for the characters’ move sets.
Renowned parkour expert and stuntman Michael “Frosti” Zernow has been tagged for the said advisory role, with Assassin’s Creed: Unity the first game benefitting from his arrival.
Zernow’s past endeavors include being part of a free-running team called Tempest, and he’s no stranger to video games, having done motion capture for various titles in the past. “I’ve been a long-time fan of the Assassin’s Creed franchise,” he said. “It’s one of the few highly visible examples of parkour that attracts younger athletes to the sport every year.” Presumably Zernow has also been involved in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed title that’s in-development for PS3 and Xbox 360. Ubisoft recently confirmed we’d be getting a reveal on that front “soon“.
