MOVIE REVIEW: American Reunion

Here’s a movie review for American Pie: Reunion starring the original cast including Jason Biggs, Chris Klein, Seann William Scott, Eugene Levy, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Tara Reid, Alyson Hannigan and Jennifer Coolidge.

Of course before we proceed we’d like to thank our friends from SOLAR-UIP for the invites.

So its been awhile since we last saw the boys of East Great Falls High and when we catch up to them they’re either fathers or husbands or committed to really foxy looking models with only Steven Stiffler still “partying like high school”.

I have to say guys, amongst the four films that featured the original cast, this has got to be funniest movie. You’ll know that this is already loaded with all the R-Rated humor that has been the trademark of the American Pie franchise ever since the first AP movie came out back in ’99.

What’s to love about the fourth installment? Well buried beneath all those disgusting imagery and sexually charged scenario, there’s still a couple of life lessons you could pick up along the way. Take for example fidelity issues for young, married couples. There’s also themes of growing up and moving on (i.e. Stiffler refusing to drop the high school shenanigans).

The movie definitely provided what it promised – a reunion. Everything and everyone from the past three movies as back. Some jokes made me go “hehe” while other jokes and situations which has already appeared in the past films were also rehashed for the brand new audience.

Also do expect to see tons of nudity or adult material. If you blush whenever you hear swear words then you’re in it for a long time. Mammary glands together with some male junk will also pop up from time to time so you have been warned.

In my opinion, the biggest star in this movie still belongs to Seann William Scott. Scottwho has been playing Steve Stiffler ever since the first movie, showed how much fun a dork or a dick can bet. Maybe you can blame his other films but Scott definitely works up great scenes as the hypersexed Steve.

As much I want to spoil how the whole Stiffler-Finch-Stiffler’s Mom drama evolves, I can’t. Here’s what I can tell you however. It’s got a whole new twist that you’ll surely laugh out loud over.

Oh and watch out for Neil Patrick Harris who was totally awesome in his role as a host.

OVerall, American Pie: Reunion was a good movie filled with nice familiar faces together with some old and even new sketches which seemed to have been taken from a mind of a teenage horny kid.
