Colbie Smulders is a Frontrunner for Avengers
Rumor has it that Colbie Smulders from TV’s How I Met Your Mother is frontrunning the coveted sidekick role for the upcoming Avengers movie.
After Sam Jackson’s confirmation that there will be a female sidekick which will be appearing wherever he goes, the Internet was set ablaze with speculation which ended with the confirmation that it will be indeed Maria Hill who will be making the cut for 2013’s Avengers directed by Joss Whedon.
Although this little bit of movement on the project seems like it closes the doors for other potential female leads for the movie, this is a far cry from the truth. With over a year more before the scheduled release of the film, Marvel Studios would still have a lot of time on their hands for adding more fan-favorite characters like The Wasp or Sharon Carter.
