New Images and Prologue Trailer from ALIEN: COVENANT
The release of Alien: Covenant, the latest installment in the Alien franchise from acclaimed director Ridley Scott, is just around the corner, and we’re treated with some images and a new prologue trailer.
Set ten years after the events of 2012’s Prometheus, Walter (Michael Fassbender) tends to the ship Covenant while its crew is deep in hypersleep. The Covenant is on a mission to the remote planet Origae-6, where they hope to establish a new outpost for humanity. However, the deep sleep of its crew gets disturbed when a nearby stellar ignition destroys the ship’s energy-collection sails and throws the mission off-course.
The awoken crew members soon discover what seems to be a viable settlement planet for humanity, but instead a terrible threat beyond their imagination lurks in the shadows.
Meanwhile, the latest prologue trailer for the film explores what happened to crew members Dr. Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and David (Michael Fassbender) after the end of the Prometheus.
Alien: Covenant stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Guy Pearce and Danny McBride, and directed by Ridley Scott. It opens nationwide on May 10 from 20th Century Fox.
