J’MON, LEE! “Rush Hour” TV Show Is Heading To CBS!

war-hoo-yeahToday, Brett Ratner’s cult-classic buddy cop comedy, Rush Hour will officially be a television series and CBS just ordered the said project to pilot. It is also said that Bill Lawrence (Scrubs, Cougar Town) and Blake McCormick (Mad Men) have written the pilot already as they were initially ordered by WB Television. They will be joined by Ratner on the directorial seat, alongside Arthur Sarkissian and Jeff Ingold as Executive Producers. Unfortunately there is still no word on whether or not, Chris Tucker or Jackie Chan coming back as their roles or even an initial release date of the pilot.

Rush Hour is a buddy cop comedy by Brett Ratner and it follows a pair of LA Police officers; a stoic-by the books Hong Kong Detective, Lee (Played by Jackie Chan) and an obnoxious-wisecracking LAPD officer, James Carter (Chris Tucker). For three movies, they have been cracking cases, conspiring, taking part in high speed car chases, and partying like there’s no tomorrow whether it’d be in the streets of L.A., Hong Kong, or Paris.
