WATCH: ‘The Disaster Artist’ Offers A Fresh Glimpse of Tommy Wiseau’s Past

James Franco’s directorial career moves forward with a sincere and comedic Ed Wood-like story titled “The Disaster Artist”. The film is based on the best-selling tell all book of the same name by Greg Sestero (who in the original film co-stars as Mark) in which he recalls the making of The Room along with meeting and working with the filmmaker himself, Tommy Wiseau. But compared to past trailers this one on the other hand shows the utter chaos of working with this film. Showing how mysterious Tommy Wiseau is, people doubting his vision whilst making the film, and how the man came to be before he was the famed director behind “The Citizen Kane of Bad Movies”.

Franco not only directed and produced The Disaster Artist but also stars as Tommy Wiseau, alongside Dave Franco as his bestfriend Greg Sestero, Seth Rogen as Sandy Schklair, the script supervisor, Ari Graynor as Juliette Danielle , Alison Brie as Greg Sestero’s girlfriend Amber, and Hannibal Buress as Bill Meur. The script was written by (500) Days of Summer’s Michael H. Weber and Scott Neustadter. Though they have said that this will have a December release date in the United States but unfortunately there is no word for the film’s release date locally. All we could say about it is “You’re Tearing Me APART, Philippines!”
