BRIAN WOOD Takes Over X-MEN and ULTIMATE X-MEN
DMZ writer Brian Wood takes over as writer for two X-Books including the adjectiveless X-Men as well as Ultimate Comics X-Men.
Wood is currently writing the miniseries Wolverine and the X-Men: Alpha and Omega which pits Wolverine against Kid Omega.
After his stint with the book, the noted DMZ creator will be working the Cyclops’ “Security Team” replacing writer Victor Gischler. David Lopez who was last seen working on the New Mutants book will be Wood’s artist on the book while Paco Medina will stay on “Ultimate” which is still (as of press time) featuring the story arc written by Morning Glories writer Nick Spencer.
Fans of Pixie should be happy to know that the British teleporter will be joining the team while Warpath gets the short end of the stick.
I love the cast for Brian Wood’s X-Men series (still getting used to pixie….but hey she’ll probably be the comic relief of the group). I’ll miss Nick Spencer, hopefully he’s working on something Cloak and Dagger related
