LOKAL GRIND: Maligno sa Tansan Pendants Series 2

Today, let’s feature a well-known creator in the local (independent) comic book community, Rommel ‘Omeng’ Estanislao and his Maligno sa Tansan Pendants Series 2.

Anak ng Tupang Itim. Lipad. Gatas ng Saging. Heronimo Alyas Hero Bagong Bayani Ng Marikina. Those are some published independent ‘komiks’ created by Omeng Estanislao. Besides from those entertaining comic books that he makes. He also creates pendants and clayworks. Every time he goes to conventions, he would have big glass case full of clay treats, from his various poses and kinds of ‘tupa’, to his fractured ill-loved hearts, to his bit-sized awesome Mjolnir hammers. He always seems to surprise me.

Have I mentioned that he did commisioned clayworks with a local children’s TV program, called Batibot?

These days, with his latest comic book release of Gatas ng Saging, Omeng has been releasing spin-off clay-bottle-cap monster pendants. See for yourself:

Here are some more. He calls them Maligno sa Tansan Pendants . It was such a hit that he’s releasing Series 2 of the cute-but-scary accessory. Each pendant is priced at PhP 200.

You can wait for the next comic-con or you can just contact him here.
