IRON MAN 3 villain confirmed as…Iron Patriot?!
Check out these on-set photos of what looks like Norman Osborn’s Iron Patriot armor, care of Superherohype.com:
The actor in the suit is none other than James Badge Dale, confirmed to play the role of Eric Savin. In the comics, Savin is a minor villain, a cyborg called Coldblood. Since Sony owns the license to Spider-Man as well as Spider-Man related characters, Osborn is definitely out of the question. Will they merge Eric Savin and Iron Patriot into one character? At this point, all we can do is wait and see.
I think it’d make more sense – or at the very least be a better fit in the Iron Man universe – if this were to be Detroit Steel, though.
Iron Man 3, which will be shown in theaters on May 3, 2013, stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, James Badge Dale, Ashley Hamilton and Jon Favreau, and is directed by Shane Black.
