The New 52 Costume for Star Sapphire Carol Ferris
Star Sapphire has been visibly absent from the Green Lantern books ever since her appearance in the “New Guardians” arc post-Blackest Night. We now catch up with Carol in the pages of New Guardians # 0 by Tony Bedard and Aaron Kuder.
In the new book we find out that Hal’s already dead and that his ring is already looking for a replacement (in the form of Baz). In the meantime Kyle pays Ferris Air a visit and encounters Carol who sees that Hal and Sinestro are squaring off against Sinestro.
We later see her in her new duds…
I won’t spoil the ending to this zero issue but I can say that things went from bad to worse in preparation for “The Rise of the Third Army”…
So anyway did you guys like the new costume? Honestly I’m still in favor of the old one. Not the 80s version but rather the one she was wearing in Blackest Night.
The cool thing about the New Guardians costume is the fact that its a marriage between the different existing costumes for Carol’s Star Sapphire. Part of the costume (particularly the black parts) were based on the Justice League Unlimited version…
The cleavage bearing costume has also been taken care off. The new take on the mask is also quite interesting… Its even got some element of the Star Sapphire that made an appearance in JUSTICE LEAGUE DOOM as well…
Despite all of that I like the new costume mainly because its kid friendly.
