Via Variety and as posted Screen Rant, it can now be confirmed that Cobie Smulders from “How I Met Your Mother” fame has been cast as Maria Hill, a tough as nails agent of S.H.I.E.L.D who featured prominently in the comics and took over the position as Deputy Director at one point.
