Tribute Games is giving us a dose of 90s nostalgia with their release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredders Revenge.
It’s a spiritual successor of the hit arcade beat ‘em classic of the same name. In the game, you get to play with your favorite turtles in a half shell, Leo, Ralph, Donny and Mikey with the inclusion of Master Splinter and April O’Neil.
The game features two modes, story and arcade mode. The 2 modes plays the same stages with the story mode having level progression that you can replay after finishing the game while the arcade mode is the tougher mode and can be played only in one playthrough.
The game is 16 stages long that you can play solo or multiplayer via local network or co-op or online multiplayer.
It is played best on multiplayer with friends or players from the net. You can play up to maximum of 6 players but it’s a chaos as there are a lot of going on in the screen. The game has a stable connection regardless of how many are playing the game.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredders Revenge brings us back to a time when we were kids during Friday nights at 8PM watching the cartoon. The game is a short trip back to our childhood but every minute played is utter joy. I’m hoping that this a start of future TMNT games from Tribute games and reignite the action beat ‘em genre.
