ANIMAHENASYON 2012: Poster Design Contest and Nominations for Outstanding Emerging Artist in Animation Now Open

The Animation Council of the Philippines, Inc. (ACPI) is calling all animation studios, government and non-government organizations,academic institutions and the like to nominate their choice for the Animahenasyon 2012 Outstanding Emerging Artist in Animation Award. The guidelines and nomination form can be downloaded from Animahenasyon’s web site at www.animahenasyon.com. Deadline for submission of entries is on July 16. Nominations can be delivered personally to the ACPI secretariat or sent via courier mail.

The nominee must be aFilipino citizen, has at least five years of industry practice, and hasproduced an outstanding body of work that has contributed to the development ofthe Filipino identity and cultivated a sense of nationhood. The nominee willundergo strict and heavy deliberations from esteemed board members of ACPI andluminaries in the Philippine animation industry. You can read the rest here.


The Animahenasyon 2013 poster design contest has been extended until August 31, 2012. Application forms and complete competition mechanics can be downloaded from Animahenasyon’s website at www.animahenasyon.com. Submission of entries can be delivered personally to the ACPI secretariat’s office or sent via courier mail.

Lock and load your paintbrushes and pen tablets, squeeze out your creative juices, and come up with an artwork that best communicates the dynamism and activeness of animation, and the spirit of Filipino culture and identity. The artist of the chosen artwork will win an all access festival pass worth PhP 5,000 plus the prestige of being the poster designer of  Animahenasyon  2013. The winning design will be unveiled and its designer will be announced during the awarding ceremonies of  Animahenasyon 2012 on November 29 at De La Salle, College of Saint Benilde, School of Design and the Arts Campus, Manila.
