PAYDAY 2 Developer Posts Mysterious Countdown On Its Site!
Overkill Software, developer of first-person heist game Payday 2, posted a mysterious teaser subpage on its website last Saturday, July 11, featuring a countdown timer set to expire 30 days from now – exactly on the first anniversary of Payday 2’s release.
On the page you’ll find nothing more than a day counter ticking away with a clock-like sound, accompanied by an animated background of a wall with rays of sunlight and occasional shadows passing through what seems to be some blinds.Visitors will also be greeted with the sound of a radio tuned in to a short conversation about a personal trainer, a gym, and oxymorons.
No information has yet been released officially linking the subpage, entitled “/whatsnext“, to Payday 2. While Overkill did recently announce the “Payday 2: Crimewave Edition” enhanced version for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, the developer has not yet issued any updates on its development.
The page could be hinting at new game content for Payday 2, given the suspicious end date of the countdown and Overkill’s recent Payday 2 DLC release last June 17.
