Claimed as the “Oscars of the Pacific”, the 8th Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) recognizes Nora Aunor once more as she bags a Best Actress nomination for her role as Biring, a worker involved in human trafficking in Joel Lamangan’s Hustisya.

This is the Superstar’s second acknowledgment in APSA after she won the 2012 Best Actress award for Brillante Mendoza’s Thy Womb.

Meanwhile, another PH contender for APSA is Giancarlo Abrahan who is nominated for Best Screenplay for his film Dagitab. The film stars Eula Valdez and Nonie Buencamino, which tells the story of two UP professors whose marriage is on the point of breaking.
Both films were entries to the 10th Cinemalaya Film Festival and bagged awards, Best Actress and Best Screenplay respectively, during the said competition.

The APSA Awarding ceremonies will be held in Queensland, Australia this coming 11th of December.
