DONATO GIANCOLA Paints ‘You Know Nothing, Jon Snow” and upcoming GAME OF THRONES Calendar
Hugo award-winning artist Donato Giancola has been commissioned to paint the 2015 Game Of Thrones calendar. Donato is highly acclaimed for his works on characters and themes on Tolkien’s Middle Earth, and it definitely looks like Westeros is next.
Donato posted this exploratory sketch “You know nothing Jon Snow” in a art group blog also saying “George’s world is so rich and varied, I wish there were thirty-six months to each year so I could fill the calendar with inspired imagery.” The sketch features Jon and Ygritte during a specific ‘steamy’ scene from “A Storm of Swords”.
