To sum it all up..

The Challenger Mountain has turned Gotham City into hell on Earth. It is up to the uncanny team of Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, Robin, Nightwing, and Green Arrow to save the city from utter chaos.

Suicide-Squad-26-spoilers-1

The Challenger Mountain has turned Gotham City into hell on Earth. It is up to the uncanny team of Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, Robin, Nightwing, and Green Arrow to save the city from utter chaos.

The first thing that stood out in this issue is Stjepan Seijic’s artwork. The mix of bold and thin lines together with his vibrant colors make this book a little easier to read. A lot of things happened in this book and I think that 21 pages is not enough to make the story develop on its own. I’m not a writer for DC Comics, and there’s a reason why I’m not, but from a fan’s point of view, I wish they would expand the different stories in different tie-in titles.

In this issue, you get a whole lot of story from Nightwing, Damian Wayne, the Suicide Squad, and even the Teen Titans. While we want a interconnected story between titles, everything just feels convoluted that it fails to deliver the actual story. The letterings could also do some improvements. There are certain panels that would have been appreciated more if the line art was given emphasis.

Do I think you should get this copy? Well, if you’re a fan of Suicide Squad and you’ve been collecting the title religiously, then by all means, go grab this Suicide Squad #26 tie-in to Metal. Otherwise, you can just wait for the omnibus edition. Again, nothing really important happened in this issue.
