See the Evolution of Black Panther’s Costume in This Infographic
Black Panther debuted as the first black superhero more than 50 years ago in Fantastic Four #52 (July 1966). His alter ego is T’Challa, the King of Wakanda, a fictional African country in the Marvel Universe. He has fought alongside the Fantastic Four, and is even a member of the Avengers.
The character has risen in prominence due to his cinematic debut in the 2016 movie Captain America: Civil War, played by Chadwick Boseman. With his own solo film coming out in a few days, it’s the best time to take a look at the evolution of Black Panther since his incarnation.
