KOMIKET 2016 Recap

Komiket, the 2nd Komiks and Art Market, has always been a hotbed for local indie comics creators to show their talent. This year’s October Komiket is no different, introducing lots of new faces to the local comic book scene as well as veterans in the community. It is the best place to check out fresh projects and also what’s popular recently.

Aside from the wealth of local indie comic books available, Komiket also held various panels relating to the making of comic books. Marvel Comics and DC Comics artist Harvey Tolibao talked about his comics career from his humble beginning to making it in the big leagues. The event gave floor to indie komiks creators to present their komiks. FlipGeeks was invited as well to discuss the trends in the komiks scene.

Other than komiks, Komiket showcases art and creativity. Seeing booths that sell art prints, stickers, postcards, bookmarks, t-shirts, art supplies and many more.
