Help Darna Find Her Stone And Win the Game!

Over the past few years we’ve seen a growth in the popularity of tabletop/boardgame cafes in the metro. Regardless of where you are in the metro there’s got to be one board game cafe near you or somewhere that you and your friends frequently go to. There’s an abundance of these board game cafes and so are the games they offer, some even allows you to bring your own game provided that you buy something from the menu or you could rent a table, depending on the establishment that you visit.

With so many games available there are times that you don’t know what to play anymore. In case that happens or if you wish to play something new, here’s a card game that we recommend for you to try, it’s “Darna at ang Nawawalang Bato.” Yes, it’s a card game that is inspired by a classic komiks character, Mars Ravelo’s Darna. Balangay Entertainment Inc obtained the license to publish “Darna at ang Nawawalang Bato” in partnership with Abs-Cbn. As the name of the game suggests, the main objective of the game is to find Narda/Darna’s missing stone that allows her to transform into the heroine, Darna!

??????????????????????????????????

We were able to attend a playthrough of Darna At Ang Nawawalang Bato and here’s what we think about the game. The game’s mechanics are simple enough that you could easily win it at the first attempt. The game is good for 2-4 players and you win the game by correctly guessing who holds Darna’s missing stone. You could win it for yourself by shouting Darna! even at the start of the round, if you feel like you have the card. However, there’s a risk that if you don’t have it, your opponents would know which card you hold. Second option is you play it through until the end of the game and guess who among you has the card, the one who guesses correctly wins the game!

The game’s simple but there’s still a challenge to it. Players would also have character cards that have different effects like this Valentina card that allows you to switch two stone cards or leave it as is under the table and then allows you to peek at an opponent cards. So aside from your instincts, you still need to have a strategy and a good memory to win this game.

You might need to brush up a little on your Filipino, if you’re not used to the language as Darna At Ang Nawawalang Bato is published in pure Filipino. It might take a little bit of time to get used to, it if you’re not familiar with the language as what I’ve observed with some of the players I’ve played with. However, after a few rounds of playing you’ll get used to it.

Darna at ang Nawawalang Bato is a card game that is simple to learn and highly entertaining. It’s artwork is reminiscent of the Filipino komiks or teks , which gives the game a classic Filipino feel to it. With a Darna movie on the way this would be a great time to catch up and enjoy Darna through her very own card game.

Darna at ang Nawawalang Bato is highly affordable and is sold for 150 Php and is available at leading bookstores, online, hobby shops, or at your local board game shop.

Learn more about the game or where it’s available by visiting Balangay Entertainment’s website or Facebook page.
