Is Outlast Gonna Be The Scariest Videogame Ever?!
You play horror games? There are a lot of scary video games like Resident Evil, Silent Hill, F.E.A.R, Dead Space and more but the upcoming first person by Red Barrels entitled Outlast. Based on the trailer below, the game really has this spooky ‘feel’ in it, not just because of the look of the environment but the sounds and background music are great. One element of this FPS game that we like is that, the game certainly uses pitch-black darkness and it certainly is an important element in a horror game especially if you’re gonna play it in the dark (which is highly recommended!).
Hearing the breath of the player, unseen things banging or clinking, spooky soundtrack and a Blair Witch Project first person with camera when playing certainly is a scary thought when you’re about to play Outlast. At this point we would love to say that this is gonna be one of the best horror games based on what we’ve seen in the trailer and demo gameplay, but it’s certainly is still early to say. IGN has posted the video below which shows their staff playing Outlast alone in the dark, I watched the video (in the dark) and I admit that the surprises in the game really did get me! The result of the IGN’s gameplay — you just have to watch and wonder if this will definitely be the scariest videogame ever.
