A Real Life Hobbit House and Green Dragon Pub Is Certainly A Dream Come True

The Hobbit mania has swept through geek lands especially Lord Of The Rings fans this December after ‘The Hobbit’ showed in theaters. Also, great news for LOTR junkies because the Green Dragon Pub (Inn) has been opened to the public! The newly open pub is located in The Hobbiton film set  – the hobbit village where the films were made and was later turned into a tourist attraction around 2002. It was also used in filming some scenes from The Hobbit, but you can damn sure go there now and get a pint of drink like Girdle Fine Ale, Sackville Cider, Oak Barton Ale and Southfarthing Ginger Ale — these’s are actual drinks from their menu!  For now, check out some images of the pub below and the gallery:

In other Middle-Earth news, one lifelong fan’s dream of having his own Hobbit house finally came true when architect Peter Archer designed him one. Although it’s not exactly your under-the-hill-hobbit-hole, this actually looks great. Also, it was built in order to store the fan’s collection of Middle-Earth memorabilia which were accumulated for over 30 years!
