With the madness of this year’s San Diego Comic Con finally over, we finally get to digest all the mind blowing announcements, exclusives and surprises that SDCC 2014 has to offer. SDCC is not only an event that fans enjoy, even celebrities too! Due to their popularity it’s understandable that celebrities could not enjoy the festivities of comic con if they were to go in as themselves as most likely fans would swarm them the moment they enter the hall. Some celebrities even took the time to go undercover and wear costumes just so that they could enjoy SDCC without being noticed.

Peter Jackson, the “Lord of the Rings” director went to Comic Con dressed as the Evil Jester. Unsuspecting fans didn’t notice the famous director underneath his costume. People were just passing him by while some asked to take pictures not knowing it was him. Mr. Jackson even posted the photos on his Facebook page.

While Peter Jackson may have been successful, actor-funny guy Jack Black ALMOST got away with it. Jack  Black decided to go with a Storm Trooper helmet however since he was shopping at Comic Con there were instances that he need to take his helmet off to take a better look at the displays. Nice try Mr. Black, may be a better and more comfortable disguise next time around.

Game of Thrones sweetheart, Arya Stark played by actress Maisie Williams was also spotted at SDCC not as herself but as Spider-girl! Maisie even posted the pictures herself on her Instagram page.

The Hill’s Audrina Patridge was another undercover celebrity at the SDCC. Audriana went as X-Men’s Mystique. With her intricate make-up and prosthetics you can barely recognized her. If ever you saw her at the con you might think that she’s just a regular cosplayer. She even posted before and after photos also on her Instagram page.

Probably, the celebrity who pulled off the biggest undercover surprise at this year’s Comic Con is none other than Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe! Daniel went to SDCC as our friendly neighborhood, Spider-man and in full spider costume! In an interview Daniel said “I did an American accent for the whole time. I even took a rucksack, so I look like I’m just coming to Comic-Con. I had a whole look. But it was great … I took lots of pictures with people who did not know that it was me.” Well played Daniel, well played.

Actors and celebrities are regular people too. It’s nice to know the inner geeks of some of the famous people that we follow, that are regular people too. They like pop-culture events as much as we do but due to their status they couldn’t enjoy it unless they think of creative ways just to simply go unnoticed. The next time you’re at SDCC or probably at any pop-culture event try to look closer who the people might be underneath the costumes because you’d never know they might just be your favorite actors .
