Darwyn Cooke Announces New Creator-Owned Project REVENGEANCE
If you’ve been waiting for Darwyn Cooke to delve into the world of creator-owned comics, well you’re in for a treat. Announced at Image Expo, Cooke will launch his first fully creator-owned title, Revengeance, in June 2015.
Taking place in Toronto in the mid-80’s, Revengeance is a psychological thriller that follows Joe Malarky as he sets out to the criminal underside of the city. Image Comics describes the series as “part crime story, part psychotronic melodrama, and a wholly fond look back at the author’s hometown.”
“Like everyone else in comics, I’ve been such a huge fan of Darwyn’s work for so long that finally publishing something by him—not to mention something this cool—seems almost like a dream. Just knowing we’re putting this out is an early highlight for what is already looking like an amazing year,” said Eric Stephenson, Image Comics’ Publisher.
Revengeance is set to debut in June 2015 from Image Comics.
