Fans of the 90s classic movie, The Crow, would be happy to know that the franchise would get its long awaited reboot. The original film that stars Brandon Lee back in 1994, which also happens to be his last feature film, as he accidentally died during the filming of the movie. The original movie had grossed more than $140 million worldwide. The Crow is the story of a  musician, Eric Draven,  who came back from the dead to avenge the murders of himself and his fiance. Its based on the comic book of James O’barr released in 1989. O’barr is also on board as a creative consultant for The Crow’s reboot.

Relativity Media would be the film studio behind the upcoming installment and to be directed by F. Javier Gutierrez. Luke Evans (Fast 6) would be starring on the latest incarnation of the The Crow.  Luke Evans has an up coming role for another movie  later this year. Evans would play as Bard the Bowman in The Hobbit sequel, The Desolation of Smaug. Shooting is set to begin for The Crow in early 2014.
