Ahead of it’s PH release, Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO tops the U.S. Box Office!


During it’s opening weekend, Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO shattered expectations and topped the U.S. Box office with an impressive $21 million in ticket sales!

Anime streaming platform, Crunchyroll is the movie’s distributor for North America and is partnered with Sony Pictures Entertainment for the international release. Mitchel Berger, Crunchyroll’s senior VP of global commerce said in statement: “We’re absolutely thrilled that ‘Dragon Ball’ fans could come together to experience and enjoy this amazing film in theaters. Crunchyroll thanks all of the fans, whether or not you are a ‘super’ fan or a newcomer, and we hope they come back again and again.”


Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO follows the series’ iconic tandem of Piccolo and Gohan, as they face down an attack by a pair of ultimate Androids that call themselves “Super Heroes” and combat the schemes of the returning villainous Red Ribbon Army.
