NetEase Games and ArtPlay just announced that they are co-developing a mobile version of the critically acclaimed “koji-vania”, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The game will launch globally by NetEase Games as a premium title on iOS and Android.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a Metroidvania title developed by ArtPlay and produced by Koji Iragashi. Regarded by many to be the spiritual successor to Castlevania, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for iOS and Android “features all the action, gameplay and content of its console forebear with no compromises on visual quality or gameplay fidelity.”

On top of that claim, NetEase Games and ArtPlay also promises new features and improvements unique to the mobile version. The UI and the 108 different shard icons have been fully redesigned, weapons and combos have also been adapted for touch controls, and all console DLC will be included, making this a pretty sweet handheld deal, assuming it runs and plays well on mobile.

No price or release date has yet been confirmed. For more news on Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night or video games in general, keep it here on the flip side!
