ASSASSIN’S CREED: UNITY Reveals First Female Character

After the much acclaimed debate about Assassin’s Creed lacking female characters on the game, Ubisoft finally releases their new female character, Elise. Elise was shown in the CGI 2 minute-trailer in the midst of a guillotine execution.

Elise the templar

The trailer features Arno, the central character in the new installment, running and jumping around Parisian rooftops heading to the execution area. He valiantly combats the French guards and stops the beheading right on cue. The final scene shows the new character, Elise, and her templar necklace. They fought back-to-back with each other and thus the dramatic promo video ends.

Being on completely different sides of the coin – with Elise being a templar and Arno, an assassin – the two worked side by side and formed an unlikely bond.

In line with Elise’s first appearance, she will also be the main character in the novel adaptation of Assassin’s Creed: Unity written by Oliver Bowden – who also wrote the previous AC novels and encyclopedia – and to be published by Penguin Random House. The story will focus on Elise’s perspective revolving around her and Arno’s role in the battle between Templars and Assassins.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity will hit the gaming stands on October 28.
