REVIEW: Bats out of Hell in ‘Flash #33′
“No protectors here… No Dark Knight… No Kryptonian. This world will fall, like all the others.”
“No protectors here… No Dark Knight… No Kryptonian. This world will fall, like all the others.” The League, without Batman and Superman, is on a mission to find nth metal reserves all across the universe. Without two powerhouses from the League, is it wise for them to go on separate missions? Or will it be more beneficial to them if they stuck together as a group?
One thing I love about FLASH #33 is that it filled the void and the plot holes of Metal #3. It really goes to show DC’s seriousness in delivering a good story without compressing a lot of developments in one title. While it’s hard to read and judge the story through piece-meal readings, I’m just glad that the tie-ins make up for the gaping plot holes in the main title.
Besides the art, I also love the panel transitions in this book. It felt like I was watching a movie, which is great. While we haven’t seen much action outside of the Nightmare Batmen origin stories, we get a lot it in this book.
If you want better appreciation of DC Metals, getting Flash #33 is a must. It also got me excited for the next chapter of Bats out of Hell.
