Viber Expands Brand With Viber Games
Viber’s finding new ways to connect people and their brand. This time it’s through games, as they have recently announced Viber Games.
Viber joined forces with Storm8 and Playtika to create their line of games using the “Viber Connect” API which can allows users to sign in with their Viber ID’s. They’ll be able to play with friends, send gifts, see what their friends are playing, and just brag about their achievements using Viber.
Viber will promote these games with their new games section in vibe. The games themselves will be available for download on Google Play and the App store. You can buy additional features in-games, making them freemium games.
Following Line and WeChat, this seems like the right move for Viber. To be released in select countries like Belarus, Malaysia, Singapore, and Ukraine first, Viber Games is expected to be available worldwide by January 2015.
