POKEMON’s 20th Anniversary: Catching ‘em all, again!
This year marks the 20th celebration of one of the most loved franchise of all time, Pokemon! Over the years Pokemon’s just grew by the numbers and you just can’t have enough and literally want to catch them all!
This 2016 marks Pokemon’s 20th anniversary and the Pokemon Company has announced numerous promotions beginning with a Super Bowl commercial that will air during the annual game on February 7th. The Pokemon Company is keeping it under wraps but commented that it “will encourage fans to train on…” Could this be sign of the official launch of one of the most anticipated game in the franchise, Pokemon Go? Your guess is as good as ours.
In addition, on February 27th, a special edition New Nintendo 3Ds bundle will be released, which will include two changeable faceplates that showcases the first Pokemon games, Pokemon Red and Blue. The New 3DS will come along with pre-installed games of both the Red and Blue versions (will also be made available in the 3DS e-shop) as well as an exclusive Pokemon Menu theme.
Other notable promotions scheduled for this year are re-release of hard-to-find Pokemon Amiibo (Charizard, Jigglypuff, Greninja, and Lucario), a Pokemon card game expansion, the release of the 12 Pokemon animated movies on iTunes, Google Play and Amazon, the arcade fighter game Pokken Tournament on Wii U and the aforementioned, Pokemon Go on iOS and Android.
This is the year that we’ll catch Pokemon’s all over again!
