POKEMON GO Success Revives Live-Action Movie Talks

With Pokemon GO becoming an overnight success and bringing an unprecedented increase in Nintendo’s stock performance as of late, it would seem that the interest in bringing Pokemon to the big screen has been renewed.

Reports say that Legendary Pictures has once again sent a proposal to render the aforementioned franchise as a live-action film. The deal hasn’t closed yet, but it’s been rumored that director and writer Max Landis is one of the candidates to helm the planned movie.

After the release of Pokemon GO, Nintendo reaped a whooping 25% increase overnight, and has been gaining towards the tip ever since. The company is expected to perform in the global market even more once the said game lands on European and Asian shores.
