The Five STAR WARS Stories That Deserve Film Treatment
Truth be told, the Star Wars saga does not revolve around the story of the Skywalkers and Solos alone. It has evolved into a collective rich in mythology, culture, and in a manner of perspective, legends. There is a lot of potential in creating new stories, and with Disney announcing that they will depart from the Skywalker saga come the new trilogy, it will be ideal for the writers to source from the Expanded Universe’s wide library.
That being said, we at FlipGeeks picked five stories that Disney may source inspiration from in helming new films.
THE OLD REPUBLIC
Spanning from the critically acclaimed Knights of The Old Republic duology, down to the still-expanding Star Wars: The Old Republic MMORPG, the Old Republic timeline has created a cult following of its own in part to its thorough depiction of the early battles between the Jedi and the Sith. The said timeline is also home to some of the franchise’s best stories.
The writers may opt to find inspiration from Satele Shan and the old Jedi Order’s battles against the Sith Empire, or create scenarios similar to the Great Hyperspace War. Moreso, they may even utilize Darth Revan’s story for the next trilogy, which brings us to…….
