Do We Really Need Daredevil Gone?

News echoed all across the world that after the conclusion of Shadowland, Marvel’s street level event featuring just about everybody battling for the New York City, Daredevil would end.

And then we also found out that Marvel’s slowly pushing a new hero into the role of “Man Without Fear” including characters such as Nova, Gambit, Falcon and even Black Panther.

The news struck me as sad news because I was starting to like Daredevil as a character when I started picking up Andy Diggle as well as read the Frank Miller run (yes including Born Again).

And now that Marvel seems to be hellbent of sending Daredevil straight to hell, I’m not even sure if I want to pick up anything related to Daredevil no matter the caliber of the artist and the writer.

In my opinion, the book was doing good. And why should they put out a new limited series for Daredevil when Matt Murdock isnt even in it. The way I see it, a lot of people will go, if he dies, he’ll be back in no time since Marvel never believes in “death” for their books (just ask the two Captain Americas).

But maybe, just maybe, Marvel has something good in store for all Daredevil fans. Just don’t make Bullseye wear the Daredevil mask. Please!!!!
