It is confirmed! Sony is releasing a new console, Neo or better known as its official name, the Playstation 4 Pro! The PS4 Pro boasts a more powerful hardware that is capable of supporting 4K and HDR gaming.

The Playstation 4 Pro has a faster CPU, a bigger hard-drive (1TB) and has an upgraded GPU. The PS4 Pro can also play current PS4 games thanks to it backwards capability. You can view the PS4 Pro’s specs below:

However, at this time, the PS4 Pro would not be able to support and play 4k Blu-ray discs.

The Playstation 4 Pro will launch on November 10, 2016 and would cost around $400.00. During the launch, Sony states that some games such as “Uncharted 4″ would have a downloadable patch that would “enhance” the game when playing on the PS4 Pro. Other games that were mentioned that would be enhanced for the PS4 Pro are Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Mass Effect: Andromeda and Days Gone.
