FLIPGEEKS Goes to PGF 2014
The Flipgeeks‘ team was fortunate to be invited at this year’s Philippine Game Festival. The event was held at the SMX Mall of Asia and the theme for this year was “LIVE TO PLAY”. As per the GameDevPhilippine’s site the theme is “all about the fun in making games and bringing game ideas to life through creativity and innovation. Thousands of game students and professionals from around the country are expected to gather for 2 days of play, learning, and inspiration.
The Philippine Game Festival is the largest gathering of game enthusiasts, designers, developers and the entire gaming industry in the Philippines and it is now on its fifth year! See for yourself an event filled with conferences, exhibitions, and lectures from renowned local and international speakers and game development competition for students and the much anticipated PGF Annual Awards – a ceremony recognising the country’s best developers and the compelling games they made throughout the year.”
The whole team actually had a blast at the event. It was our first time attending and we really had an awesome time. Flipgeeks was able to meet the nice and cool developers of GDAP. Thank you for making us feel welcome. We were able to try out different games on the convention floor and we were simply blown away. We felt a sense of pride that all those fantastic games were made by our very own Filipino developers. Our hats off to you! Great job to everyone!
In the coming days, please do check back our site as we would give you our reviews and first impressions on the different games presented at this year’s Philippine Game Festival and our insights on one of the main attractions of the festival, the Oculus Rift!
We sure had a wonderful time and we wish all the developers the best of luck! We look forward to next year’s event!
