I have summoned you here for a purpose… Rovio and in collaboration with Hasbro is now giving us the newest Angry Birds expansion: Angry Birds Transformers.
The word outside says that there will be an Angry Birds Transformers coming out soon with collaboration of Rovio and Hasbro. Last time these two big franchises joined forces was, the Angry Birds Star Wars. And it was just a matter of time before they come up with this latest expansion. Last January, there were leaked images of the Angry Birds Transformer Telepod toys. When ask about the images, Hasbro’s rep declined to comment on this new venture. No official word from them just yet… but it will be anytime soon.
Just like the Angry Birds Star Wars game, Angry Birds Transformers will be a mobile and platform game. Also it’ll be telepod toy . Just like its predecessor, we can expect official merchandise which will aim both fans of the Transformers and Angry Birds franchise. Even so there is no word on when its release date yet, the toys will be out later this year. But since it co-exist with the game, there is no word on when and if ever it will officially be release.
“We’re really excited to combine the iconic Transformers universe with the quirky world of Angry Birds,” said Blanca Juti, Chief Marketing Officer of Rovio via official announcement. “This mash-up is going to appeal to both those who grew up with the brand in the 80’s, as well as fans of the brand today. People are going to love it!”
For now, we just have to wait till the official announcement is made by Hasbro. Look for Angry Birds Transformers in app stores soon before the end of this year.
