THE TEAMS

Leading digital services providers PLDT Home and Smart Communications, Inc. named Clutch Gamers as the official Philippine representatives to the main event of the much-awaited Manila Masters, the first Philippine international premier Dota 2 tournament to be held from May 26-28 at the SM MOA Arena.

Competing with seven of the best teams around the world, Clutch Gamers is composed of professional Dota 2 players Khim “Gabbi” Villafuerte, Armel Paul Tabios, Rafael Sicat “Rappy” Palo, Marvin “Boombacs” Rushton, and Kenneth “flysolo” Coloma. They bested over 3000 other teams from all over the Philippines in the Nationwide Qualifiers to clinch the top spot.

“PLDT Home and Smart are one with the local gaming community in supporting our very own Clutch Gamers to show the world that Filipinos are a force to reckon with when it comes to competitive online gaming,” PLDT FVP and Head of Home Business Oscar A. Reyes, Jr. said. “A strong and powerful connection is crucial in the world of e-sports and online gaming. As partners and supporters of the local gaming community, we are committed to giving our players access to world-class internet to enable them to level up their game and help put the Philippines in the global gaming map.”

Aside from our local representative, here are the other team rosters competing at this year’s MANILA MASTERS.

EVIL GENIUSES

EG-Manila-Masters

One of the direct invites for the MANILA MASTERS is Evil Geniuses. Evil Geniuses is composed of Artour “Arteezy” Babaev, Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan, Saahil “UNiVeRsE” Arora, Ludwig “zai” Wåhlberg, and Andreas Franck “Cr1t-“ Nielsen.

OG

OG-Manila-Masters

Representing the OG, another direct invite for this year’s MANILA MASTERS are Johan “N0tail” Sundstein, Tal “Fly” Aizik, Gustav “s4″ Magnusson, Anathan “ana” Pham, and Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka.

NEWBEE

Newbee-Manila-Masters

Another direct invite, pro-team Newbee are represented by Xu “Moogy” Han, Song “Sccc” Chun, Damien “kphoenii” Chok, Zeng “Faith” Hongda , and Hu “Kaka” Liangzhi.

TEAM SECRET

Secret-Manila-Masters

One of the returning teams’ from last year’s Manila Majors and also a direct invite for this year’s MANILA MASTERS is Team Secret. Team Secret would be fielding in the following players: Pyo “MP” No-a, Zheng “MidOne” Yeik Nai, Maurice “KheZu” Gutmann, Yazied “YapzOr” Jaradat, and Clement “Puppey” Ivanov.

TEAM NP

NP-Manila-Masters

Rounding up the team of direct invites at this year’s MANILA MASTERS is Team NP. Team NP is comprised of Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao, Adrian “FATA-“ Trinks, Arif “MSS” Anwar, Kurtis “Aui_2000″ Ling, and Johan “pieliedie” Åström.

INVICTUS GAMING

Invictus Gaming won the China qualifiers and earned a spot to be at this year’s MANILA MASTERS. Invictus Gaming is Xu “BurNIng” Zhilei, Ou “Op” Peng, Lin “Xxs” Jing, Ye “BoBoKa” Zhibiao , and Fu “Q” Bin.

TEAM FACELESS

Faceless-Manila-Masters

To earn a spot at the MANILA MASTERS, Team Faceless had to conquer the South East Asian Qualifiers first. Now that they’re in the tourney, Team Faceless would be represented by Dominik “Black^” Reitmeier, Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong, Toh “xy-“ Wai Hong, Daryl Koh “iceiceice” Pei Xiang, and Wong “NutZ” Jeng Yih.
