Original StarCraft Now Free, Complete with New Patch.
Blizzard Entertainment’s classic space RTS is now completely free; no strings attached.
In preparation for the upcoming StarCraft: Remastered, both the original StarCraft and StarCraft: Brood War are now free. You can download the expansion set here.
On top of being free, it’s also been updated with it’s latest patch after more than 10 years. The patch generally updates the game to be more compatible with the latest Windows and Mac operating systems plus a couple new tweaks here and there. Multiplayer functionality will also be available.
Just a taste of what’s in store for the remastered version.
StarCraft Remastered will be available sometime in the summer of 2017. You can check out the official page for more information on future updates.
