Greg Rucka and Marco Checchetto Bring SHATTERED EMPIRE #1 This September
After a slew of successful Star Wars titles set in the original trilogy timeline, Marvel plans to delve into the future by debuting a new comic that will tie-in into The Force Awakens. This September, Marvel and Lucasfilm bring Star Wars: Journey to The Force Awakens – Shattered Empire #1 written by the acclaimed Punisher creative team of Greg Rucka and Marco Checchetto.
Partnering with Lucasfilm, Shattered Empire #1 is a limited series and will officially be part of the Star Wars canon. The series explores the events happening between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.
“The world has been wondering what happened after the fall of the Empire since the credits first rolled on Return of the Jedi in 1983,” says series editor Jordan D. White. “Now, on the dawn of the next chapter of the saga, we’re incredibly proud to be involved in revealing the events that happen immediately following the end of Return of the Jedi!”
Star Wars: Journey to The Force Awakens – Shattered Empire #1 debuts on September.
