With only a day away from the release of the new movie, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 would swing its way to your PC and game consoles first before it does on the movie screen. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 The Game is a single player, 3rd person action adventure game that gives players an open world, free-roaming web slinging exploration of New York City. The game was developed by the same group, Beenox who had previously released Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, Spider-Man: Edge of Time and the first Amazing Spider-Man the Game and published by Activision.

In the new Amazing Spider-Man game, you assume the role of (well of course, who else?) your friendly neighborhood, The Amazing Spider-Man. The game would feature the classic cast of Spidey’s rogue gallery that includes Kraven the Hunter, Electro, Kingpin, Black Cat, Green Goblin, Chameleon, Shocker and few other surprise villains.  The gameplay is similar to previously released Spider-Man games the only difference this time is that it takes place in an open world. In one of the online videos released (developer walkthrough), it was revealed that you would have the ability to wear a number of costumes previously released in the comic books. Some of the costumes include the Scarlet Spider (Kaine), Spider-Man 2099, Superior Spider-Man, Ultimate Spider-Man (Miles Morales), Flipside, Ricochet,  and Hornet to name few.  I’ve included the trailer along with the developer gameplay walkthrough to give you an idea as to what the game actually looks like.

The game would be released April 29th and is available for Microsoft Windows, Playstation 3 & 4, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and XBOX 360.
