ENCANTADIA’S New Cast To Debut At ToyCon 2016
Avisala! After a decade of being off the air, Encantadia is now gearing to make a big comeback, as its new cast is set to invade the show floor of this year’s ToyCon festivities.
Helmed by the said show’s original figurehead Mark Reyes, the reboot’s newest protagonists will be comprised of Glaiza De Castro as Pirena (formerly played by Sunshine Dizon), Kylie Padilla as Amihan (formerly played by Iza Calzado), Gabbi Garcia as Alena (formerly played by Karylle Yuzon), and newcomer Sanya Lopez as Danaya (formerly played by Diana Zubiri). The four actresses will be engaging the con-goers in a special PopLife Fan Experience event made for the fans and budding followers of the long-running fantasy franchise.
Purported as a requel, the show is both a retelling and a sequel of the first three seasons of Encantadia, as it is set to reintroduce the series to a new generation of fans, while covering on events left unexplained and unexplored previously. Apart from the four aforementioned celebrities, the show will include Rocco Nacino as Aquil, Ruru Madrid as Ybarro, John Arcilla as Hagorn, Marian Rivera as Mine-a, Dingdong Dantes as Raquim, and Solenn Heusaff as Cassiopeia.
ToyCon 2016 will be happening this coming June 10, 11, and 12, at the SM Mall of Asia SMX Convention Center.
