EVENT: DLSU-SMO Comic Convention

The annual Lasallian Media Week is a weeklong event that showcases the various talents of the University’s major student media groups, namely Ang Pahayagang Plaridel, Green and White, Malate Literary Folio, and The LaSallian. The event aims to strengthen the appreciation of responsive and responsible student media at De La Salle University.

As the major student media groups of the University stand united in celebrating 100 years of Lasallian presence in the country with a renewed sense of dedication to reaching out to its audience in more ways than ever, we find it fit to choose the phrase “Reaching All the Senses Through Media” as the theme of this year’s biggest media event.

One of the activities slated to happen during the celebration is the first Comic Convention that Malate Literary Folio will organize in partnership with the Student Media Office. The event, which will carry the theme “Sense of Sight”, will include comic book exhibits, forums with established guest artists, and merchandise and display booths.

We are also pleased to announce the University’s very first Cosplay Competition. The competition will showcase various cosplayers from all De La Salle Schools and other universities in the Philippines and will be judged by credible artists and professional cosplayers. This will be held on 18 January 2012 (Wednesday) from 2:30pm – 8:00pm at the Yuchengco Lobby, DLSU.
