Gwent Technical Beta on PS4 is Live

2

The wait is over. From a mere minigame in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to a full-fledged standalone multiplayer card game, Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is finally making it’s way to the PlayStation 4. PlayStation gamers will be able to download and play Gwent all weekend long.

The event will last until Monday, April 3rd 08:00 CEST. All PlayStation 4 players will be able to access the game, simply download it off from the PlayStation Network. The games file size is only a measly 5 Gb so, if you’re a fan(well, even if you’re not), there’s no reason to skip out on an opportunity to try out the PS4 build for the game. PlayStation Plus will not be required to participate in the event, so invite all your friends!

Given the nature of the event, all progress made during the event will not carry over to the eventual open beta. Buying Kegs with real money wouldn’t be possible either, but you can still purchase them with Ores earned from playing multiplayer matches. Ranked play will also be unavailable as there isn’t much sense for it. With all that said, a good number of rare silver and gold cards from all factions will be available so you can get a good feel of all the many different builds you can play around with once the game finally comes out.

The technical also includes the latest updates from the main closed beta build. You can find the latest patch notes as well as the Technical Test FAQ here. After the test ends, the closed beta test is sure to follow close, so be sure to check back for more news on Gwent here at Flipgeeks.com!
