The time to listen to Metallica, Led Zeppelin and even Steve Vai’s melodious solos while playing your favorite Steam games are now possible thanks to Steam’s Music Player. Valve just released its music service which caters to players and the regular consumer alike. Just let your Steam program download the latest update and follow the simple guide we have for you below.

In line with this launch, Valve also has freebies for Half Life and Portal owners: Free DLC Soundtracks for a limited time, so grab them while you can.

Here are the steps on how you can access Steam Music:

1. Make sure Steam is up to date.

2. Go to View>Settings>Music

3. Add your desired music folder under Music Library and click Start Scanning.

4. Open your game and hit on Shift+Tab

5. Find the music tab and blast the volume on that Justin Bieber or One Direction album!
