First Look at Green Lantern: The Animated Series

Here’s the first look at the upcoming Green Lantern : The Animated Series, which will be shown in Cartoon Network in 2011. We are sure that Hal Jordan will be the main Green Lantern for the series, but we had news before that it would also feature other Corps Members, especially the familiar ones. The producer of the show – Warner Bros. Animation, , will preview the upcoming DC Comics adaptation for fans this weekend at the New York Comic Con (Jacob K. Javits Center on Manhattan’s West Side).

Executive producer Bruce Timm — whose credits include Superman, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, Batman Beyond and of course the beloved Batman: The Animated Series (BTAS), — will headline the panel on Saturday at 2:30pm, alongside producer Giancarlo Volpe (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) and producer/story editor Jim Krieg (Ben 10: Alien Swarm). Following the panel, from 4:00 to 5:00pm, the team will be signing posters (with this image) at the DC Comics booth.

Our partners from Sketchpad Studios will be attending NYCC, and hopefully we get more scoop regarding the upcoming series. 2011 will definitely be a great year for Green Lantern and its fans, because let’s not forget that the Green Lantern Movie starring Ryan Reynolds will come out the same year.
