The History of Filipino Artists with DEADPOOL
ELMO BONDOC
2015’s latest catch, and he actually delivered in Deadpool vs. Thanos four-issue mini-series. Seriously, it should have renamed as Marvel Team-ups: Deadpool and Thanos simply because they ended up allying with one another to find their most beloved amor of all—Señora Death! Just like Jacinto’s case, the story’s simply ridiculous but Bondoc’s arts shone and don’t be surprised Marvel may assign him to more challenging assignments sooner than later.
JEROME OPEÑA
Opeña’s Deadpool take was awesome! Here’s why! He and frequent partner-in-arms Rick Remender unleashed Uncanny X-Force to new heights and his art on Deadpool were both hilarious and awe-dropping inspiring. He only involved in two arcs, the first Uncanny X-Force #1-4 and the most important, The Dark Angel Saga (Uncanny X-Force #14-#18), where Deadpool was drawn to near perfection. If only Opeña could draw faster, we could have had a more exciting run in the series.
