OFFICIAL: Robbie Amell Joins THE FLASH As Firestorm!
With all the recent castings for both The Flash and Arrow, it would seem that CW are pulling all stops as they embrace the idea of expanding the DC Universe on TV. We may not see a fully bloomed cinematic continuity for the time being, but DC are definitely ramping it up on their television properties.
Following the reveal regarding Brandon Routh’s inclusion to Arrow S3 as The Atom, another familiar face joins the casting wagon as Robbie Amell - cousin of Arrow lead Stephen Amell – takes on the recurring role of Ronnie Raymond, otherwise known as the fiery superhero Firestorm for The Flash. He is set to debut in the third episode of the said show.
Raymond is said to be a S.T.A.R. Labs maintenance worker and Dr. Caitlin Snow’s fiancé, who played an integral part in the particle accelerator accident that transformed Barry Allen into the Scarlet Speedster. This is a slight deviation from his comic book counterpart, but we’ll see how this plays out in the fall.
